INDIGO AUTO GROUP’S AUDI AND VW DEALERSHIPS PARTNER WITH ADOPT A FAMILY OF MARIN FOR A BACKPACK AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES DRIVE
SAN RAFAEL, CA – (July 8, 2020) – Indigo Auto Group’s Marin Audi and VW dealerships are proud to partner with Adopt A Family of Marin for a backpack and school supplies drive. Throughout the month of July both dealerships will be accepting new backpacks and school supplies that will be donated to families in need.
“We are thrilled to partner with Adopt A Family of Marin to assist in collecting much needed backto- school supplies for students,” said Volkswagen and Audi Marin General Manager Jay Brownrigg. “Especially during times like these, we encourage those who can, to assist others and help put a smile on a child’s face.”
The new backpacks and supplies can be dropped off on or before July 31, at either of the two dealerships, located adjacent to each other at 700 Francisco Blvd W, in San Rafael. Their hours are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Adopt A Family Marin is a non-profit organization that works with low-income families in the County to provide short-term financial assistance for expenses such as food, rent, utilities, and safetyrelated car repairs, among others.
“Our students in Marin County need support and reassurances more than ever before,” said Executive Director of Adopt a Family of Marin Jacqueline Jaffee, JD. “We are hoping this drive helps bring a sense of normalcy and hope to those youngsters getting ready to start a new school year. Last year we were able to donate 164 backpacks and our goal is to surpass that this year, as so many more families are struggling financially.”
